MacOSX Instructions

1. Wallet:  Have your Ethereum wallet address ready.
2.  Download safeconnect-osx.tgz here from your browser.
3.  Open a bash shell. Extract via “tar zxvf safeconnect-osx.tgz”
4.  Run “sudo ./safeconnect” and when prompted, enter your wallet address
5.  Start** via “sudo ./safeconnect on
6. If you want to stop, enter “sudo ./safeconnect off
** NOTE: If TUNTAP driver is not installed, it is extracted with the safeconnect.
Run sudo installer -pkg tuntap_20150118.pkg
(or tuntap_20191118.pkg for High Sierra or greater)
sudo exec 5<> /dev/tun0

Linux Instructions

NVIS for Linux now has a full CLI installer.

1. Know your unique device address assigned by your Administrator.

2. Download: the Linux NVIS Client t

Ubuntu 22.04 (AWS): tarball
Ubuntu 20.04: tarball
Ubuntu 18.04: tarball
CentOS7: tarball
Save the tarball on your matching system.
3. From a shell, Install the tarball:
sudo tar zxvPf <tarball>
** NOTE: if you do not already have TUNTAP installed, install e.g.:
sudo apt-get install  uml-utilities
sudo tunctl -t tun0
4. Run NVIS:
# nvis
wallet address : <address>
# nvis -h
# nvis -s
# nvis -v
# nvis on

5. If the status is ON, Test by entering::
